Lawn Solution Services

  • If your lawn is dying, this needs to be addressed right away. There are many reasons your grass could be dying, such as insect infestation, fungus, improper watering, nutrient deficiencies, etc. In order to help you identify the cause, we need to examine a sample of the lawn. (Pictures can be very helpful, but are not typically sufficient for a diagnosis on their own.)

Please bring in one complete section of your lawn, approximately 12" wide, consisting of at least half living, green grass in a container that will hold water. We will inspect for insects, disease and other lawn problems.

You can take your lawn sample home and let it re-root in the bare spot.

There is an $8.00 charge for this service. This service is available from 9am - 5pm.

  • Just like a doctor orders bloodwork to see what’s going on inside our bodies, a complete soil analysis gives us an in-depth look at what’s going on below the ground surface. Correcting nutrient deficiencies and pH imbalances in your soil will promote rapid, healthy lawn growth. Problems such as recurring fungus, yellowing and stunted growth can be minimized with the proper nutrients.

To gather soil for testing, rent our core sample tool free of charge. Wait six to eight weeks after fertilizer application to gather samples. Soil must be gathered properly to achieve accurate results. These samples will be sent to our lab for testing (reports can take 2-3 weeks to get back from the lab).

We will call you to schedule an appointment in-person at our store. Please expect this appointment to take 45 minutes to 1 hour due to the in-depth nature of the analysis. We will set you up with a maintenance calendar custom to your yard to make your lawn healthy and easier to maintain.

There is a $69.99 lab fee for this service. If multiple tests are needed on same property, the fee for the second and subsequent tests is reduced to $44.99

  • Correct soil pH is important for optimal plant growth because it allows nutrients to be freely available for plants to take in.

Testing the soil pH can also be helpful to determine what plants are best suited for an area.

To gather soil for testing, collect 2-5 different samples of soil from 4 inches below the ground surface. Place the samples in a zip-lock bag, labeled with you name, phone number and location soil was taken from.

There is a $2.50 fee per sample for this service. We will call you with the results.
